Cubit Wire’s 95 years of manufacturing history will further Hueson’s capabilities in the Custom Cable market
Northbridge, MA — Specialty wire and cable company Hueson Wire announced today its acquisition of the assets of Cubit Wire & Cable Co. Inc., a privately held manufacturer of electronic and electrical wire and cable products. It is anticipated that the acquisition will give Hueson expanded manufacturing capabilities through the addition of equipment, custom cable tooling and the transfer of Cubit’s UL and CSA Approvals to Hueson Wire.
“The Cubit acquisition is important to Hueson as it will allow us to bring many new product capabilities to market in a shorter amount of time,” says Brian Hanlon, General Manager of Hueson Corporation. “With close to a hundred years of history Cubit had an incredible selection of specialty tooling. We have already added new items they were producing that would have required time and resources to recreate today.”

Founded in 1918 as American Braiding Company, the company, located in a 55,000 square foot facility in Holyoke, MA was one of the first insulators of wire and cable.
