Northbridge, MA —<\/strong> Specialty wire and cable company Hueson Wire announced today its acquisition of the assets of Cubit Wire & Cable Co. Inc., a privately held manufacturer of electronic and electrical wire and cable products. It is anticipated that the acquisition will give Hueson expanded manufacturing capabilities through the addition of equipment, custom cable tooling and the transfer of Cubit\u2019s UL and CSA Approvals to Hueson Wire.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Cubit acquisition is important to Hueson as it will allow us to bring many new product capabilities to market in a shorter amount of time,\u201d<\/i>\u00a0says Brian Hanlon, General Manager of Hueson Corporation. \u201cWith close to a hundred years of history Cubit had an incredible selection of specialty tooling. We have already added new items they were producing that would have required time and resources to recreate today.”<\/i><\/p>\n

About Cubit Wire<\/h4>\n

Founded in 1918 as American Braiding Company, the company, located in a 55,000 square foot facility in Holyoke, MA was one of the first insulators of wire and cable. The company was later renamed American Electric Cable, and finally, Cubit Wire & Cable Co. Inc.
